What is the Mobile First Index algorithm and how to prepare our site for it?

The Mobile First Index algorithm tries to display search results so that the first index is mobile, not desktop! Are you ready for such a change?

The main purpose of the first Index algorithm is to provide mobile users with complete satisfaction from browsing with their smartphones. So, Google is looking to have only one index, which is mobile. Although it has been a benchmark for desktop rankings so far, with the advent of this algorithm, the practice has changed completely, and the mobile version of any website is being targeted organic website traffic by Google.

Google has a good reason for this, saying that everything that is displayed in the mobile version is important, not the hidden sections of the site that are only seen on the desktop version!

Why should we care about Mobile First Index?

Certainly, any website with any purpose whatsoever is set up, likes to be seen among the results and users click through to the mass of the results displayed. Now that Google cares so much about sites that are optimized for mobile users. The chances of seeing results will increase for these websites. On the other hand, other websites that do not comply with the Mobile First Indexing Criteria are falling to the bottom of the table of results.

One of the things that every site needs to do to improve its ranking is to pay attention to the Mobile First Index algorithm. When the mobile version of the sites is indexed by Google, is there a way to pay for mobile users?

How do we know that the first Mobile Index criteria have been applied to our site?

When your site is analyzed by the Mobile First Index algorithm, and is then indexed on a mobile index, you will be sent an email from Google to inform you. You will also be notified in the Google Search Console .

Other information on your website that is not displayed in the mobile version is not going to be destroyed, but the fact is that it is not worth its former Google. Make sure that important information is not kept secret from mobile users. Many sites hide a lot of information behind their splendid design. Content that is hidden in the drop-down menus, or whatever you need to get it to do like a click, is not as valuable as the visible content, but not ineffective.
